Let It Snow - Snowflake Crafts and Snowman Coloring

It's been a chilly winter in most of the US and Canada so far. Now that the holiday season is winding down (officially the 12th day of Christmas is January 6), it seems to be just the right time to work on snowflake crafts and snowman coloring pages. I just discovered a woven Carolina snowflake that's perfect for January. The step by step instructions at Extreme Cards and Papercrafts make these beautiful paper snowflakes look not so difficult. I wonder if I could use stiffened strips of fabric or ribbon to make these lovely snowflakes?

If you're not feeling quite that ambitious, or if you've got preschoolers in the house, print out a batch of snow angel coloring pages, a family of snowmen to color, or some wintery snowflake coloring sheets. After coloring the kids can cut them out to paste them onto icy blue paper.
