Star Charts for Kids
Stars and Rewards for Good Behavior and Learning New Skills
Squidoo.com - Everyone appreciates an "atta-boy" - a symbolic gold star or reward badge that says "I'm special!" or "I did it!".
Kids respond eagerly to praise and encouragement-that's why star charts can be successful tools for building positive behaviors and self-esteem in children. It's not payment for learning, its incentive for children to continue to learn.
Checklists help develop sequencing, time management and organizing skills. Adults make lists of all sorts - kids can, too. And it's not difficult to help children get organized.
There are many star chart printable resources available online, many that are no-cost. Learn more at Squidoo on the Star Charts for Kids lens.
